Made In LA part 1

1. How is the life of sweatshop workers in L.A. the same as those in Indonesia? How is it different?
Ans: The life of sweatshop works in L.A. are the same as those in Indonesia because they both make cloths for factories in USA. They are different because on makes cloths and the other one makes sneakers.

2. Why is it that poor immigrants (newcomers) end up working at sweatshops? Why don’t they work as lawyers or doctors or at Mcdonalds?

Ans: They end up working in sweatshops because if they work at McDonalds they will get deported back to the country they came from.

3. Predict what’s going to happen by the end of this movie

I predict that they are going to fight over them getting real jobs instead of working in a sweatshop.

1. How much do Nike workers make in Indonesia each day? How many hours a day do they work? Ans: They make 1.25 a day and 15 hours a day.

2. What is life like for Indonesian Nike workers at home? Ans: They have to share bathrooms with other families.

3. Why won’t Nike talk to Jim or Leslie or let them visit the shoe factory? Ans: They wont let them visit or talk to them because they will be punished

Ans: Making decent living mean you should have nice clean organized house. The things you should be able to afford is a car, house and cloths.

Ans : My sneakers come from Mexico and the person who makes them are Mexicans.
3. What is a sweatshop (take a guess, even if you have no idea)?
Ans: A sweatshop is when people have kids make stuff for them in a room.

1. Do you think consumers (people who buy things) have the right to sue McDonalds for selling unhealthy food? Why or why not? Ans: No because its America and peoples choice to pick what they want.
2. McDonalds is the largest owner of private playgrounds in the world. What other ways does McDonalds use to market their food to children? Ans:They show kids the ads on tv to get the toy from a kids meal.
3. How many calories do you think a healthy kid should eat in a day According to the movie, how many calories are in a Super Size fries? How about a Double Gulp soda? Ans:We should eat about 20 chips) has 10 grams of fat, 90 calories are from fat. That's 10 grams X 9 calories per gram.

Super Size Me Part 1

1. How many times a week do you eat at McDonalds or other fast food restaurants? Do you ever think about whether what you are eating is healthy? Why or why not? I only go to Mcdonalds only on the weekends. I think about it when i step on the scale on I see that i gain weight instead of thinking im losing weight.




2. What do you predict will happen to Morgan’s health at the end of the month? Do you think he will remain in perfect health? I think that he will not stay healthy because he can start eating Mcdonalds 24/7 and get fatter when he eats it.



3. In one scene there is a shot of a McDonalds inside of a hospital. What do you think about that? Do you find it normal, funny, strange, or sad? I think that the Mcdonalds in the hospital is kind of strange because there can be fat people there and they can be eating alot of the food thats there and it can be unhealthy for those people.

Yes because music makes me concentrate more .

My score was 82 out of 100. I was surprised because I only had 2 wrong.
c) During the Techbrarian Distraction Test was there any type of music that distracted you more than others? If so, explain why.
There was not that much of distraction when I was doing the test.
d) How do you think you would have done on the test if there were math problems instead of a story? If there was math problems I would get all correct.

Ans:Dairy farms are different from factories farms because the dairy farms have fresher dairy products then the factories and plus the factories dairy products are more rotting then farms products.

Ans: RBGH is a medicine that cows take to have bigger body parts so people can buy more of it.
3. What is the milk replacer fed to calves (baby cows) made out of? Why is this bad (besides just being gross)?
Ans: Milk was replacer to fed the calves was blood from cows and its bad because they wont get stronger from the blood they will get weak.

Ans: I will stop organic foods coming into the stores and supermarkets or make people stop bying the organic foods.

The factory farms are differently from family farms because they are cutting cows tail off.
they are killing the cows moms and feed the cow blood to calves.

2. Why are animals fed antibiotics in factory farms and why is this dangerous?
They are feed antibiotics because when the sale the cows they are healthy so they wont get people sick.

3. What happens to animal excrement (poop) in factory farms?

There poop go to the factories and they keep it and the cows live in it.
